Well, the end of the road has finally arrived and now I'm facing an ocean. I've been given the tools the make a boat, now its time for me to build that boat and explore what lies pass the ocean's horizon. Master Yoda aka Bennett Onika has worked with @Damienvince and I over the past month and a half and our poker skills have grown to another level. We both understand why the techniques taught to us are necessary to becoming great at poker player. The techniques are no cake walk though, you have to work to fully understand it.
Personally, the month of March is important to me because I am only a few weeks away from participating in the World Poker Tour Amateur Championship and Heartland Poker Tour Main Event Qualifier, which are being held in Vegas on the first week of April. The knowledge I've obtain thus far will give me a better chance at winning, but I have to put in the work to gain that advantage. In my previous post, I mentioned that my father wanted me to become the "Muhammad Ali, the Joe Frazier, the Floyd Mayweather Jr" of poker. Well, I've been putting in long nights and waking up early to perfect this craft.
I see poker as a sport, and with all sports, in order for you to become the best at it, you have to practice. Reputation, after reputation, review after review, sit up after sit up, the elite in all sports understand this underlining aspect of being the best. From what I've seen though, there aren't a lot of healthy poker players out there so if can become a symbol of health in my journey of becoming the best then so be it. In the end, my goal is to live the life I was destined to live since I took my first breathe in the world. Debt free, worry free, prosperous, and plentiful. I truly believe poker will help me get there and I only have one way to go, and that's up. I want to thank Bennett Onika again for this eye-opening opportunity, I've become more attentive and my poker knowledge has increased tremendously. I'm close to reaching my goal in becoming the best at the game of poker, I just need to continue my training and keep focus.
