@davidsmith23 is laying the ground work to have his mind blown

Micheal sent in his progress from week one. My goal for him is to memorize the entire deck in under 20 minutes this week. It seems I now have a new goal which is to turn him into a poker tracking machine before his big tournament in April. Congrats on the win Mike.

So the first thing I have to write is, this program is pretty serious.  The second thing I have to write is, I am truly amazed at myself.  Earlier this week I had a conference call with Bennett Onika and he wanted me to start to do the groundwork for his techniques.  He wanted me to learn those inside out by the end of the week.  At the time, I was a little nervous because I had to learn 104 separate items but, I remember Bennett saying our brain works and gathers memory by remembering images and events.  So when I began to study the list of images, I made sure to have a vivid image associated with the items I had to remember.  It took me less than a day to learn half the items, the others I struggled with. As of Friday though, I learned each connection I needed to make after a different approach from Bennett.

Today I challenged myself by going through again what Bennett had shown me. It was tough, but I managed to ace approximately 85% of the groundwork that needed to be done.  My goal is to be perfect by next week.

Bennett has given me new instructions tonight to memorize a deck of cards using his techniques, but we decided it would be best to do it when I'm free during the week. He thinks I can do it in under 20 minutes, I am very skeptical as thus far what he has shown me is well...weird.

Of course I will follow his instructions and see what happens.

On a side note: I am apart of a local amateur poker group and today was the Venue Series Championship.  The top 2 finishers win a seat to the World Poker Tour Amateur Championship and I won!!!!  Great the news is, we haven't even started  learning the poker strategies.  When the first week of April come and its time to go the championship, which is held in Vegas this year, I will be able to implement all of the teachings Master Yoda aka Bennett Onika had instilled in me.  We've barely touch the surface in this journey, it looks like the ending will be a pleasant one.
